This page explains how to delete your Formyx account and what happens to your data when you do. Formyx is the nutrition and training app published by Ufuk Gökoğlan; the full Privacy Policy describes everything the app holds.
1. Delete your account from inside the app
Open Formyx → Profile → Settings → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data (meals, workouts, measurements, subscription link). You will be asked to confirm, because it cannot be undone:
- Email or Google accounts: type your account's email address.
- Sign in with Apple accounts (iPhone): confirm with Apple. This also removes Formyx from your Apple Account's list of apps that use Sign in with Apple. If that step cannot be completed, you can confirm with your email address instead, and the app shows you how to remove Formyx yourself: on your iPhone, Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Formyx → Delete.
If a subscription is still renewing, the app tells you before you confirm and offers to open your subscription settings (see section 5).
You do not need a subscription to do this: on the subscription screen, Account at the bottom lets you sign out or delete your account the same way.
You do not need to contact us for this. The deletion runs the moment you confirm, and it works for accounts created with an email address, with Google, and with Apple.
2. Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the app — for example you have lost access to the phone — send a request to help@getformyx.com from the email address your account was created with. We will verify that the address matches the account and delete it within 30 days, then confirm by reply. We cannot delete an account on the strength of a request from a different address, because that would let anyone erase someone else's data.
If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, your account's address is a private relay address created by Apple (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com or @private.icloud.com). You can find it on your iPhone under Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Formyx. Include it in your request: we will send a confirmation to that relay address, which Apple forwards to you, and delete the account once you reply to it.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- your profile — name, age, sex, height, weight, goals, training answers and every setting stored with your account;
- every meal you logged, including calories, macros and the references to your meal photos;
- your entire weight history;
- your workout history and your training programs;
- your calorie and macro targets;
- your water log;
- your usage records (days opened, days logged);
- the copy of your subscription status kept on our server, and the matching customer record at our subscription provider, RevenueCat;
- your sign-in credentials.
Data on the phone itself — the saved copy the app keeps for offline reading, meal photos, and any workout still waiting to be sent — is erased at the same time.
One exception. Our authentication provider keeps a separate security audit log of sign-in events (the email address used and the IP address it came from). That log is not linked to your account row and is not reached by the deletion; it is retained according to the provider's own schedule. This is the same exception described in section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
4. How long it takes
Your account and all of the data above are deleted immediately — the deletion is enforced by the database itself, not by a scheduled job. Our database provider keeps routine daily backups for a short rolling window; any copy of your data in those backups is purged within 30 days.
5. Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play — those are managed by Apple and Google, not by Formyx. Cancel it in your device's subscription settings before or after deleting your account; otherwise the store will keep billing you for an account that no longer exists.
6. Clearing data without deleting the account
If you only want a fresh start, Profile → Settings → Reset data clears your profile, meals, weight history and water log but keeps the account, your workout history and your subscription.
